Prophecy Shofar

Sounding a shofar in a metro link parking garage next to Baldwin Park City Hall in Southern California. I talked to a police officer who informed me that another person sounds the shofar frequently in this same structure. A follower of Jesus who was with her grandchildren heard the sound of the trumpet and we shared our faith and a few testimonies with one another. She prayed with me and I gave her a Jesus is my savior bracelet. The meeting was absolutely a divine appointment. She repeated that she used to pray more and do more and that she knew why she was doing less now. "It's my own fault" she said. We prayed about this and I encouraged her and shared some things she will be doing in the Kingdom while it is yet day. The shofar is always associated with prophecy in the Bible. So what is prophecy? The best way to be protected from mis-interpretion regarding prophecy is to study The Word of God diligently. There are many false prophets seeking their own will and uttering words as oracles of God. This was true in biblical times and is especially true right now. We are called to be Holy Spirit led so that we can discern truth. Prophecy and prophetic words are always sound doctrine. Paul in the new testament examines this closely. So if someone ministers a prophetic word to you it must agree with The Word of God. If someone says to you " The Lord told me that you are going to start an orphanage in Zimbabwe" It may very well be that you already knew this. It may not at all be from The Lord, so seek The Father in prayer, ask for a clear confirmation from Him. If it is indeed your Father's will then you will will receive a very clear signal at the correct time. There is a proliferation of unclear messages being spoken by those who may preface their statements with an identification of prophecy so be alert and allow The Holy Spirit to confirm or reject what is stated. Our Father is not the author of confusion. When He speaks to His children there will be a certainty and a peace with what He has said. This does not mean that you may not want to do as instructed or have concerns and reservations. Our Father often seeks to stretch us into areas and ministries that are surprising or not what we had imagined, or in an area that you feel unqualified for but as you meditate upon it and read and re-read The Bible you will encounter a peace that will confirm or deny if an action is God's will for you. Matthew 7:15 "Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. Life more abundantly includes asking our Father what is His will for our life. These are amazing times to be alive, seek Him diligently, Ask, seek, knock. Have an expectant heart for breakthroughs and newness of Life, greater grace, peace in the middle of storms, compassion and love. For our Father is perfect and abounding in love and mercy towards us.
