Some modernized Mitsubishi elevators in the city's older national library, which was opened in 1989. Since nearly all operations and departments have moved to the new and much taller building in Medan Merdeka Selatan in 2019, all that's left now here is the old newspaper archive on the 7th floor of Building C. The main building aka Building A was added in 2003. The elevator in Building A was originally a Mitsubishi GPS-III type from 2003 until it got modernized. It seems that it was originally planned to have two elevators but only one was installed. You can see like a spare shaft to the right where the inauguration plaque is. Sadly I couldn't find any videos of the original elevator before the mod. Meanwhile the elevators in Building C were originally SPVF type from 1988 based on the angled COP. The second elevator with the non-angled COP was originally a GPS-III from the early 2000s and I'm not sure if it was a replacement or additional. I'm assuming it was installed along with the one in Building A which opened in 2003. Given by their LCD interface, it is clear that they were modernized at different times; the SPVF ones were the first to be modernized while the GPS-III ones were done later. Only the most recent modernized elevators have AAN-G voice announcement and default chime. Lastly, there are also two old dumbwaiters which can be seen inside the old newspaper archive room on the 7th floor. They are still used today for transporting various old newspapers and publications; look how big they are! Judging by the capacity sign (100 kg) and the elevators here, they were definitely made by Mitsubishi.
