In the video, what is the Two-Port Network and what is the significance of the Two-Port network is explained. By watching this video, you will learn the following topics: 0:00 Introduction 0:20 What is Port? What is Two-Port Network? 1:12 One-Port, Two-Port, and Multi-Port Network 2:10 Importance of Two-Port Network Model What is Port? It is a pair of terminals that connect the electrical circuit or network to the external circuit and satisfy the port condition. Port Condition: If a current I enter the one terminal of the Port then the same current should leave through the second terminal of the same port. Base on the number of ports the circuit or the network contains, it can be classified as one-Port, Two-Port or the multi-Port Network. One-Port Network: And all the basic circuit elements, like, the resistor, the capacitor, and the inductor are the examples of the one-port network. Two-Port Network: Simple T- network is an example of the Two-Port Network. The Two-Port network could be as simple as T-Network or it could be some part of the complex circuit. Multi-Port Network: the directional coupler and the circulators are the examples of the multiport network. Importance of the Two-Port Network: When the circuit or the network is represented using the port, then it reduces the complexity during the circuit analysis. The two-port network model is used in mathematical circuit analysis techniques to isolate the portions of larger circuits. So, the two-port network is regarded as the black-box. And its property is specified by the network parameters (also known as the Two-Port Parameters). When the input signal is applied to this port, then the response of this network can be easily found using the network parameters (without finding the internal voltage and current of the network). Examples of the Two-Port Network: 1) Filters 2) Transformer 3) Transmission Line 4) Small Signal Model of the Transistor Any circuit with two pairs of terminals can be regarded as a two-port network if it does not contain independent sources and satisfies the port condition. Two-Port Parameters: In Two-Port Network there are four variables, two for each port. For the circuit analysis, the two of the four parameters are considered as the independent variables and the remaining two can be expressed in terms of the independent variables. Based on which two variables are the independent variables, six different parameters can be defined for the Two-Port Network: 1) Z-Parameters 2) Y-Parameters 3) T-Parameters(ABCD Parameters) 4) h-Parameters (Hybrid Parameters) 5) Inverse Hybrid Parameters 6) Inverse T- Parameters This video will be helpful to everyone for understanding, what is Two-Port Network and what is the importance of Twp-Port Network in the circuit analysis. #TwoPortNetwork #TwoPortParameters Follow my second channel: / @allaboutelectronics-quiz Follow me on Facebook: / allaboutelecronics Follow me on Instagram: / all_about.electronics Music Credit: http://www.bensound.com/
