Worst case scenario: heat-cycled Vitour Tempesta P1s + green track + unseasonable warmth = very low grip = loads of oppo everywhere! Because I tend to chew through rear tires more quickly than fronts (and sometimes drift while nobody's looking...), the rears were particularly toast. I managed a couple of 1:32.8's, and given I was at or over the limit basically everywhere I don't think I could have gone much quicker in these conditions (optimal was around a 32.5). As I hadn't driven in a while this was a good test for me, and I'm happy with how I drove and how the car performed - lap times be damned :). Shout out to SP Motorsports, I had a great time running in their small private run group this past weekend. Traffic was never an issue, something I can't say about most any other group I've run this car with. I will be back. In addition to the high temperatures, the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R in 255/35/20, 305/30/20 I was hoping to run Sunday morning didn't fit. Despite datasheets from both manufacturers suggesting they might, the rears weren't even close. Only modification: Vitour Tempesta P1 (200tw) tires in 255/35, 305/30 sizes on Apex VS-5RS 20” wheels. Thanks to BR Racing for assisting in car setup.
