Outcomes of patients with IDH1/2-mutated accelerated/blast-phase MPNs in the era of IDH inhibitors
Anand Patel, MD, University of Chicago Medical Center, Chicago, IL, discusses the findings of a large multi-center retrospective analysis of the outcomes of patients with IDH1/2-mutated accelerated/blast-phase (AP-BP) myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs) treated with four different therapeutic approaches. While there was no significant difference in overall survival (OS) between the treatment regimens examined, numerically, patients who received IDH inhibitor-based therapy or hypomethylating agent (HMA)-based therapy without venetoclax had better outcomes.
