A few Thuja Green Giants died... Replanting them with Miracle grow dirt any good? Backyard Update

I planted these Thuja Green Giant Arborvitae trees along 2 of my rear fence lines with the hopes of a nice privacy screen and keep the sound down from the street. On one of the fence lines I previously removed the old mulch and replaced it with new weed barrier fabric. Then put down new mulch on top of that to try and keep the trees happy and the weeds out! Now it's time to work on the other fence line where the other Thuja's are planted. Some of the Thuja's didn't make it, I am not sure why. On this fence line I am going to try something different and mix some of this Miracle Grown dirt that I bought from Costco with the native dirt and see if that helps them grown better.
