The new Resident Electoral Commissioner, Edo State, Barrister Obo Effanga says the ongoing registration of eligible voters will be a continuous one. Barrister Effanga stated this when he led other officials of Edo State INEC on a courtesy visit to the management of ITV/Radio at the Communication Village, Iguosa. Edo State resident electoral commissioner Barrister Obo Effanga said the visit to Independent Television and Radio was to seek co-operation of the station to deliver on its mandate. He noted that INEC will focus on the on-going registration exercise so as to enable more persons of visiting age participate in the next election. Barrister Effanga said people who lost their voters card can apply for replacement and those who relocated can also change their voting centers to their new area of residence. He appealed to all stake holders to co-operate especially the media. Responding the General Manager, Independent Television, Senior Elder Ogbeide Uwumwonse expressed appreciation for the visit and assured the state INEC REC that Independent Television and Radio will continue to support INEC by enlightening the public about their policies and programs. Senior Elder Ogbeide urged the INEC Commissioner to always open their doors for the media in order to have a proper working relationship. Other top officials of Edo State INEC in the entourage were Heads of Departments and the Public Affairs Officer Mr. Wilfred Ifogah.
