This session outlines real-world lessons learned in specifying and delivering low-carbon concrete from early design through construction. Shane Mulligan from Heidelberg Materials unpacks how designers, contractors, and suppliers can align at key project stages to meet carbon targets without compromising performance. Drawing from the Guideline for Specifying Low Carbon Ready Mixed Concrete in Canada, the presentation highlights the role of carbon budgeting and how Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) are evolving to support transparency.
