FS Model 7T Siren Test Ft. Garbage Truck - Wausau, WI - Alert - 6/2/25

Story time... So as I was pulling up through the neighborhood, I started seeing all these garbage bins, so I immediately knew what was possibly in store for me. If you look on Google Maps at where this siren is, you'll notice a few things. Number one, it's located right next to what I believe is a small water treatment building at the very end of a road. Number two, there is one house on this street, nothing else. No businesses or public parks, just a house halfway down the street. The neighborhood this siren is located in is by no means a busy one, but when I heard that garbage truck getting closer before the test, I essentially predicted my downfall. Test time rolls around, this thing fires up for a minute of alert. Great test, until the wind down. After I went under the siren, I went back and stayed by my cameras for the rest of the test which were very conveniently set up in the middle of the street. Why did I set up in the middle of the street? For the shot. It's always about the shot. Period. Plus, I did not think it would be a problem since it's at the end of an incredibly unbusy street at a building that no one ever goes to. So the wind down starts, and the garbage truck has just finished collecting from the one house street. Now let’s explore our options here. You could make a U-turn before my cameras, you could do a Y-turn in the person's driveway, or you could honestly just back out the street onto the other since there’s no real traffic there either, or you could be a dick. You wanna guess what the truck did? Why am I asking, you already know. Pulled up, did some weird maneuvers to avoid my cameras, and left. Anyway, great test, blah blah blah. Honestly, it was a pretty funny ordeal, so I figured I’d make it interesting by including little bits of it in here. Thank you all for watching & I hope you all enjoy!
