The TERRIFYING Last Minutes of Robert & Shauna in in Angwin... In the early hours of July 16, 2021, Shauna, a 37-year-old newly licensed pilot, embarked on a flight in a 1973 Beechcraft V35B Bonanza, a six-seat, single-engine aircraft with a distinctive V-shaped tail, registered as N112TW. Accompanying her were her 73-year-old father, Robert, and her husband, James. The plan was to fly from French Valley Airport in Southern California to Angwin Airport in Napa Valley, a journey expected to take about 2.5 hours. The trip was meant to be a tightly scheduled weekend getaway with friends, possibly including winery tours. Unfortunately, a series of critical errors during the flight led to the tragic deaths of all three on board. The real sad thing here is that, despite having multiple opportunities to avert the disaster, Shauna was unable to change the course of events. Here’s why: Overview Pilot Fatal Mistake! The TERRIFYING Last Minutes of Robert & Shauna in in Angwin... The Beechcraft V35B Bonanza involved in the crash was confirmed to be in good mechanical condition, and weight and balance were not factors in the tragedy. However, challenges loomed over the flight. Both Shauna and Robert lacked instrument ratings, restricting them to Visual Flight Rules (VFR) conditions. Shauna, a relatively inexperienced pilot with about two years of training and limited documented flight hours, had resumed flying in 2020 after a hiatus. Robert, on the other hand, had accumulated over 2,300 flight hours but was reportedly more accustomed to older aircraft models. While he owned and had registered the Bonanza since 2007, his actual proficiency with its specific systems and handling characteristics was uncertain. Pilot Fatal Mistake! The TERRIFYING Last Minutes of Robert & Shauna in in Angwin... The plane tragically crashed on the morning of July 16, 2021, at approximately 8:40 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time. The aircraft had been nearing its destination, Angwin Airport-Parrett Field in Angwin, California, when disaster struck. The serene hills of Napa Valley, which the travelers had hoped to explore, became the site of heartbreak instead. All three occupants aboard lost their lives in the crash, marking a devastating end to what was meant to be a joyful getaway.
