Inside a training session with the awesome Benedikt Duda 🏓 On a recent trip to Düsseldorf, Germany 🇩🇪 I had a pleasure to work with 2 awesome players. National Youth Player Josi Neumann and Superstar Benedikt Duda. Working with players that have such a high level is fun, there’s no doubt about it. It’s a new, fresh but difficult challenge. Of course my objective is to teach them, challenges them and help them improve. From a coaching perspective, that goal doesn’t change. However, my own playing level is not as high and therefore doubt and questioning plays a part…but of course, like any session, you settle in, you spot things, you ask questions, you expose errors. We get into the swing of things but there’s certainly much more to consider at this super high playing level. I’m showing you part 1 of our training session. This is a multiball session in preparation for the Euro Top 16 Cup, which Benne competed in a few days later. Narrowly losing out to Felix Lebrun 11-9 in 5th. We covered a handful of skills and exercises. I try to give you my coaching perspective but also pull some useful information from Benne’s top class play too. So, hopefully you’ll gain some useful insights but also learn a thing or two as well.
