The Last Drop Tavern is where criminals used to be given their 'last drop' of whisky before they were hung for their crimes right outside the tavern doors in the Grassmarket. We sampled a Glenkinchie whisky from the lowlands, a Glenmorangie from the highlands and a Lagavulin from the island of Islay. The Glenmorangie from the highlands was our clear favourite!
