Syrinx was an electronic group considered one of the first groups to produce progressive electronic music. They released two albums between 1970 and 1971, and they broke up shortly after the release of their second album. They are most popular for their single, "Tillicum", which was used as the theme for the Canadian TV series, "Here Come the Seventies". The saxophonist–Doug Pringle–went on to join The Poles, a group that made a punk-rock single in 1977. I'll be sure to upload Syrinx's second album soon so be on the lookout for that! This version of Syrinx features a tracklist that switches the order of 'Field Hymn' and 'Chant For Your Dragon King'. Tracklist: 01: Melina's Torch - 00:00 02: Journey Tree - 02:58 03: Field Hymn - 07:48 04: Chant For Your Dragon King - 09:39 05: Hollywood Dream Trip - 20:03 06: Father Of Light - 25:17 07: Appalosa - Pegasus - 27:34 Line up: John Mills-Cockell - Keyboards (including Moog synthesizer & piano) Doug Pringle - Electric Saxophone Alan Wells - Drums & Percussion Frank Bertin - Engineer Rollin Newton - Engineer Bart Schoales - Photography, Art direction Gerald Zeldin - Cover art All rights belong to their respective owners. I share this music to promote the group and the label and I own none of the images and audio featured in this video. Although you cannot support the artist and the label for this release, you can pick up a copy of this album here: https://www.discogs.com/master/1446090-Syr...
