ok this was so much fun to read, i haven't gotten to do a more conversational style of text since abolish restaurants. i hope yall enjoy my silly voices and me trying to not crack up at Legion's jokes. she's funny as hell and you can tell this was written in the 70s in the best way. anyways this is such an extremely important piece of text and i feel more prepared to handle conflict than i did before reading this. Constructive Criticism: A Handbook is a manual to giving and receiving feedback in our organizing spaces based on the Criticism-Self-Criticism (CSC) model created during the Chinese Revolution and used by the Chinese Communist Party and with the masses in China under Mao. it discusses how we avoid liberal tendencies like avoidance, defensiveness, indirectness, etc. when we both give and receive feedback. it stresses the importance of mutual interest, understanding, and willingness to struggle together in order to reach a genuine agreement for the sake of the movement. i really cannot recommend this book enough.
