Today's video is a visual on the recently extended 129 to Lewisham Shopping Centre from Gallions Reach, Great Eastern Quay. I didn't want to visual this route on the first day due to the annoying veg who cannot keep themselves to themselves, as well as the route taking 80 mins for a certain someone at 6am. This is why I did the route on a Saturday morning at around 5:20am so I knew there wouldn't be any traffic or much stopping. It's safe to say that the extension has made the route a lot better, but the allocation is kinda boring. The driver was nice and had the heater on so the bus was nice and warm when I got upstairs. Also, the ISA on this wasn't working so we weren't stuck at 20mph for most of the journey thankfully and we managed to arrive into Lewisham bang on time. I really like the connections that this route allows and is a huge upgrade over its previous routing of going to North Greenwich, as well as the relatively new Silvertown Tunnel which was surprisingly empty for most of the day. Anyway, I give this route a 9/10 and really do recommend it, the scenery is really nice and the routing is unique with lots of turns. Route 129 travels via: Gallions Reach, Beckton, London City Airport, Pontoon Dock, Silvertown Tunnel, North Greenwich, Greenwich Town Centre and Lewisham Shopping Centre. Route 129 is operated by Go Ahead London's Blue Triangle subsidiary from their Henley Road (DS) garage using BYD BD11s and a peak vehicle requirement of 22.
