John Deere Grader Repairs! | Fitting Blade Skin & Replacing Blade Slide Rail

We’ve got a lot to do to get this Grader job done in a short amount of time! This is a John Deere 672GP Motor grader, the blade is getting a new wear skin and we’re also replacing a worn-out blade slide rail. We show the step-by-step process to remove the blade off the grader so we can fit and weld a new wear skin on to the blade. We also show the steps to replace the bottom guide rail on the back of the blade. First, we gouge off the old rail using carbon air arc gouging before machining the new piece of material in our Zayer bed style milling machine. We then fit and weld the new guide rail onto the blade before installing the blade back onto the grader. We know our customer is going to be happy with the repairs and upgrades on their machine!
