In seventh grade, RYCE took the stage for a school musical and left to a standing ovation. He remembers the feeling vividly—zero fear, pure joy. “I always wanted to perform,” he says. “This is what I’m supposed to do.” As RYCE grew more honest and comfortable in his own skin, moments like that kept coming, shaping the one-of-a-kind voice and style he brings today. "When you're making music from within who you are—finding yourself, loving God, and loving yourself, which is a big thing—I think it has helped me grow. Those types of enhancements are gifts of growth in artistry. It's about allowing yourself to make mistakes, to live life, to cry, and being comfortable with expressing those emotions.
