Much of the U.S will experience WARM and ABOVE AVERAGE temperatures nearing Christmas time! This afternoon, high temperatures in the 50s and 60s. There will be a breezy SW wind through the morning hours. Sunshine will be out all day Monday. Tuesday through Wednesday, temperatures above average in the 50s with sunny skies and variable winds. Wednesday night into Thursday, a cold front moves in bringing rain and possibly rain/snow into parts of eastern Nebraska. This weekend and next week, temperatures staying above average with limited precipitation chances near Christmas. 10 days until Christmas! If you still need to do some decorating, the next few days look great. Expect sunny skies, light and variable winds, and temperatures in the 50s and 60s through Wednesday afternoon. By Thursday, a cold front moves in, bringing stronger winds and colder temperatures. Hoping for a cold and white Christmas? Much of the U.S. is expected to see above‑average temperatures. Here in Lincoln, the average high is 40°, and temperatures through next week will generally range between 40–54°.
