Liberal Leader Mark Carney veered away from the campaign trail for a second straight day on Saturday, after spending Friday in Ottawa chairing a special meeting on U.S.-Canada relations. His opponents are accusing Carney of taking a “free ride” and “hiding” from the public. Mackenzie Gray has the latest. The Trump administration announced late Friday that it would exclude electronics, like smartphones and laptops, from reciprocal tariffs. But the announcement has not quashed uncertainty in the U.S., which has some of the brightest minds in tech, along with those in scientific and research communities, considering their options outside the U.S. Heather Yourex-West explains.
