The Oceania Cup is a senior athletics competition hosted by the Oceania Athletics Association, bringing together top athletes from across the Pacific to represent regional teams and compete for the Oceania Cup trophy. 2025 edition hosted in Nuku‘alofa, Tonga. https://athletics-oceania.com/oceania... This team-based format features eight teams in 2025, including: Tonga (Host Nation), Australia, New Zealand, Melanesia (FIJ, NFI, PNG, SOL, VAN), Micronesia (FSM, GUM, KIR, MHL, NMI, NRU, PLW), Polynesia (ASA, COK, PYF, SAM, TUV), Regional Australia (Remote/Northern residents) Hawaii. A full program of track and field events will be contested, including mixed 4x100m and 4x400m relays. (Steeplechase and Pole Vault will be held as invitational events, not included in team scoring.) Team Scoring System Only one athlete per gender per team will score in each event. Teams earn points from 1st through 8th place 1st Place will receive 10 points, 2nd 8 points, 3rd 6 points, 4th 5 points, 5th 4 points, 6th 3 points, 7th 2 points and 8th 1 point. Relays earn double points. The overall champion team will receive the Oceania Cup trophy, with medals awarded to the top three teams. The competition also features Junior, Para and Masters Athletes competing from all across the Oceania Area in Nuku’alofa.
