The area for charging is big so putting your phone on the one half, its going to start charging. The anti skid pads keep your phone from moving at all. The watch stand is very convenient because if you have a watch band that does open completely, this style of charging is mostly likely going to be your best choice. But I'm not that smart and the advertising looks like it has a watch charger included but it doesn't. That's fine because I don't actually own a watch. The one really sad thing is that no wall power brick.
