Edmund Haynes Taylor, Jr. was a bourbon pioneer, mayor and state representative. He was also a descendant of two U.S. presidents, James Madison and Zachary Taylor. Taylor is well known for the countless innovations he contributed to the bourbon industry. E. H. Taylor was born February 12, 1830 in Frankfort, Kentucky. He started and owned seven different distilleries throughout his career, the most successful being the O.F.C. which is now the famed Buffalo Trace Distillery. The Barrel Proof offering is Crafted from hand-selected barrels and bottled directly from the barrel; uncut and unfiltered at more than 125 proof. This is the 2019 bottling which comes in at 129.3 but can vary from year to year.
