4 Reasons Why The "Rule of 31" Does Not Work on a House Shot

I was recently asked why I always seem to target at 5 board in my bowling videos and why I do not subscribe to the "Rule of 31". For those that have never heard of the "Rule of 31", it's the strategy of taking the length of the pattern you are bowling on, subtracting 31 and the result is the board you should be targeting at the break point. This is pretty good idea on tougher sport shots in order to get your feet and eyes in the right spots. However, it's a different story on typical house shots.
