The first-ever AI Impact Summit just concluded in India, and it was a spectacle of contradictions. Top CEOs, engineers, and global leaders gathered at Delhi’s Bharat Mandapam under the noble tagline of "Sarvejan Hitay, Sarvejan Sukhay" (For the benefit and comfort of all). The atmosphere buzzed with slogans of "People, Planet, and Progress," promising a high-tech revolution for the common man. But while the speeches inside aimed for the stars, the reality outside told a very different story. From the very first day, the summit was plagued by mismanagement. Attendees stood in line for hours as flagship digital systems like DigiYatra and digital payments failed to function. In an ironic twist for an AI conference, there was no working Wi-Fi or internet access. Basic amenities like drinking water were scarce. To add to the chaos, a previously unscheduled visit by the Prime Minister led to a ban on all electronic devices inside the venue. The question on everyone's mind was: Without our devices, how are we supposed to experience the digital future? This event has opened a serious debate about the state of our digital infrastructure. It seems that while mastering "Artificial Intelligence" might still be a work in progress, we have undoubtedly become champions of "Artificial Promotion." We missed a golden opportunity to genuinely engage with and learn from the global tech community. With 96 crore internet users watching, what message does this send about our digital readiness? We are being pushed towards AI-driven attendance, education, and farming, but if the systems at the flagship event don't work, is what we are implementing truly AI, or just a mirage? This week in Cracknomics, we look beyond the AI Impact Summit and find what’s happening with Indian tech? #AISummit #ArtificialIntelligence #AIImpactSummit2026 #DigitalIndia #TechInIndia #AIFail #MissedOpportunity #TechConference #IndiaTech #BillGates #ModiPhotoshoot #GalgotiasUniversity #ChinaRobot #Robodog #DancingRobots #DigitalInfrastructure #DigitalIndia #AI #ScienceAndTech #Engineers #Jobs #ScienceInIndia #AIStartups # #Infosys #Wipro #TCS #IndianITSector #AIImpactSummit #DelhiSummit #DigitalFail #IndianStartups #TechNewsIndia #AIReality #InternetForAll #DigitalDivide #IndianAI #ITJobs #Unemployment #EducationRanking #HigherEducation #EconomicPolicy #Tariffs #EconomicChallenges #InvestorSentiment #GlobalTrade #EconomicOutlook #Development #EconomicData #FiscalPolicy #MonetaryPolicy #StartupIndia #MakeInIndia #EconomicReforms #BusinessEnvironment #EconomicIndicators #FutureOfIndia #IndianIndustry #DigitalIndia #ExportImport #ForeignTrade #EconomicRecovery #JobMarket #SkillIndia #EducationSystem #EconomicCrisis #GrowthStory #IndianDevelopment #EconomicInequality #Oligarchy #SocialJustice #WealthTax #Capitalism #EuropeanUnion #Healthcare #MGNREGA #TrendingNow #MustWatch #YouTubeIndia #VideoEssay #Documentary #IndianPolitics #EconomicAnalysis #FinancialPolicy #MoneyMatters #EconomicCrisis #IndianMiddleClass #PublicWelfare #Economics #Finance #Cracknomics Join The Wire's Youtube Membership and get exclusive content, member-only emojis, live interaction with The Wire's founders, editors and reporters and much more.
