I Turned a Plains Dragon into an Ice Dragon (Minecraft Blockbench)

Today I’m diving into Blockbench to transform a Plains Dragon model into a Ice Dragon variant for Minecraft! We’ll be adding new blocks and bones to completely Makeover the original dragon (yes, there’s an adult and baby version) and then giving it a frosty makeover with all-new textures. By the end, our once plain dragon becomes an epic ice-breathing beast decked out in cool blue scales. This was a fun Modeling/texturing Experiment that lets me play creature makeover man – turning a warm plains flyer into a chilling Ice Dragon that roams the cold biomes. Along the way, I share a bunch of Blockbench tips and modeling tricks, so even if you’re new to custom mobs you’ll pick up something useful. The style here is more “let’s build together” than a formal tutorial, meaning you’ll see my thought process, mistakes and all, and learn how to fix or tweak models in a casual way. If you’ve ever wanted to create, or model your own Minecraft custom mob variant, or even learn mroe about Blockbench's ins and outs, this is a great place to start – I’ll show how to recolor textures, adjust a mob’s shape, and work with the baby variant (for that adorable baby dragon).
