Be super careful about buying Battle Steel Level IV Ceramic Plates. Everyone is rushing out to buy a plate carrier and plates. Watch this video to see my experience and why I was totally shocked when the plates arrived. These are the $99 per plate ( at the time) ceramic shooters cut, level IV plates, supposedly capable of stopping armor piercing rounds. Mr. Guns N Gear ( mrgunsngear )does a review on them and shoots them up pretty good. These ARE NOT NIJ certified. Says both 6 lb and 5.5 lb on the website (which one?) Made in China. I would caution against buying they plates. I exchanged 40 emails with their costumer service and complained about the way they were shipped and was told I would have to pay $40 to have replacement plates shipped the way I requested (the way any upstanding company would ship life saving plates). It is really negligent the way they ship these, especially since there is no foam backer on either the front or back face, which is how they get the somewhat thin profile of .8". Suprisingly they are triple curve, don't know why they list them as single curve.
