Welcome to Chiappetta Shoes Workshop Live! Today we're working on a C9 foot type (https://nolaro24.com/qs.html) with some left foot irritation. The customer made the wise decision on investing in custom orthotics and in this video, we are modifying some casual/work shoes she has had for around one year. The left foot has been particularly painful mostly when sitting then getting back up. The pain is both in the medial arch as well as the top of the foot. The arch pain is more of a pulling, muscular irritation and the top of the foot feels more like a boney arthritis. Modification Details: Metatarsal Pad plus Longitudinal Arch Bar combo. 1/8" Cushion Cork material. Lined up approximately 1/4" from apex of the Met heads. Intentions: Both the Alegria and Ziera inserts have a better than average contour but with a relatively cavus C9 foot type, there's definitely room for more support, particularly down the middle of the foot. The intention of adding this mod is to offer more pressure in the middle of the foot to help stabilize the mechanics from mid-stance through toe-off.
