Joshua de Amicis is a graduate of LU and the founder of the Lakehead University Philosophy Academy in 2009. Josh has spent the past three years expanding the philosophy group to consist of 4 major events that occur on weekly and bi-weekly basis and will soon be founded as a non-profit organization. Josh recently graduated with a general BA and is currently working on finishing his HBa Philosophy and Ba Psychology with intentions on advancing to do a Masters in the Philosophy of Science in Psychology either in Germany or Australia. Aside from his academic prospects, Josh seeks to establish the philosophy society as an international organization and create a legitimate qualified profession for the social philosopher. TEDxThunderBay - The purpose of this event is to inspire reinvention in Thunder Bay so we may cultivate and develop a more vibrant community - together.
