Meteorologist Trey Greenwood breaks down this week’s Texas weather in the latest Texas Deep Dive. This week’s main headline is the risk for severe weather from Monday through Wednesday, with the greatest and most widespread threat expected Tuesday across parts of West Central Texas, North Texas, Central Texas, and the eastern Texas Panhandle. Large hail and damaging winds look like the primary hazards, with a lower but non-zero tornado threat in some areas. Northeast Texas also faces an isolated severe weather risk Monday, while Far East Texas may see lingering storm chances Wednesday before quieter weather settles in later this week. Trey also covers the fire weather risk across parts of the Texas Panhandle and West Texas, plus the larger weather pattern driving this active start to the week. In this video: • Monday severe weather risk in Northeast Texas • Tuesday’s broader severe weather setup across North and Central Texas • Wednesday storm chances near Far East Texas • Large hail, damaging wind, and isolated tornado concerns • Fire weather concerns in the Panhandle and West Texas • Why a quieter stretch may arrive after midweek Subscribe for Texas-focused forecast updates, severe weather coverage, and breaking storm information.
