First FOREU4ALL Workshop @Ca' Foscari: "Putting the European Degree Label Into Action" (1/4)

The FOREU4ALL Community of Practice launched its new cycle of transversal workshops, with the first event taking place in Venice on 4–5 December 2025, hosted jointly by Ca’ Foscari University of Venice and EUTOPIA. Bringing together experts from across Europe, the workshop focused on a theme central to the future of European higher education: “Putting the European Degree Label into Action: Bridging Policy and Practice.” Co-designed by the topical groups on European Degree & Joint Programmes and Quality Assurance, the event offered a dedicated space to turn policy ambitions into concrete practice. Participants exchanged hands-on experiences, examined challenges in implementing the European Degree Label, and explored how alliances can ensure the label provides real added value for institutions, students, and society. 110 participants gathered onsite in Venice, with more than 1000 joining online through a hybrid format livestreamed on Zoom and YouTube—ensuring accessibility for academics, practitioners, and policymakers across Europe. This workshop came at a pivotal moment, following the first European Degree Forum (Florence, November 2025) and the inaugural meeting of the Policy Lab. It strengthened the commitment of alliances to contribute directly to shaping the European Degree, grounding the work in the day-to-day realities of joint programmes and quality assurance. The Venice event was also the starting point of a series of eight transversal workshops, running from December 2025 to July 2028, designed to foster collaboration, learning, and innovation across all European Universities alliances.
