Welcome to Project Encore—our name for Universal Orlando’s brand-new roller coaster project, replacing Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit at Universal Studios Florida. Until Universal announces the official name, we’ll be tracking its progress here under the Project Encore banner. This week does not bring many changes to the site overall. However Hollywood Rip Ride Rocket is officially gone. The entire lift, and final track segments have been removed. Now work can begin on prepping this area for ground and footer construction. We expect this to begin once Halloween Horror Nights is over for the season Also a note, we want to remind guests that Universal has changed that the location past Jimmy Fallon to the right of the construction walls to "Team Members Only". So we will not be going in this area until that changes, or walls are moved. They likely had issues with guests wandering back in this area, along with the stairs being used to gather footage.
