As a member of the famous Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section (also known as "The Swampers"), bassist David Hood made a name for himself contributing to recordings by artists including Aretha Franklin, the Staple Singers, Country Music Hall of Fame member Willie Nelson, and others. Earlier this year, Hood visited the Museum to participate in "Nashville Cats," a Museum series designed to highlight stories from musicians who have played important roles in country music history.
