The Brainbow

This film is designed to be shown to children of 8-11 yrs in two parts, and has a learning pack to go with it - please request! It builds empathy for neurodivergent pupils struggling to fit into a neurotypical world, and teaches how to interact with people of different neurotypes in a way that is respectful and affirmative. A passion project two years in the making, Murmuration hopes that this film will start a new conversation in our schools about how to move beyond limiting ideas of ‘normal’ towards embracing the full spectrum of different ways to be human! The Brainbow is aimed at Key Stage 2 pupils, and the accompanying learning pack has been tried and tested in schools as a way to embed the principles of the film into classroom cultures. The learning pack has been successfully integrated with the Jigsaw scheme of work and can be adapted to other approaches.
