California Food Trip: We did a food tour in Los Angeles and Costa Mesa visiting HiFi (Historic Filipinotown) and South Coast Plaza trying some of the best restaurants and places to eat in Los Angeles County and Orange County. 🍽️ Santa Ana Taco Tour: • Santa Ana Food Tour! BEST TACOS in Santa A... ➣ Playlist: • Costa Mesa FOOD TOUR + Huntington Beach! O... 🔔 SUBSCRIBE: https://www.youtube.com/TravellingFoo... Don’t miss new travel + food vlogs! We headed to Historic Filipinotown (HiFi), Los Angeles to start our food tour! This two-mile stretch has lots of Filipino eateries to choose from. 1. SiSiG Restaurants (1714 W Temple St, Los Angeles) - Our first stop was SiSiG Restaurants, one of the newest restaurants in Historic Filipinotown that opened 10 months ago. Here you can get traditional Filipino food. We got the BBQ Chicken ($9.95), Crispy Pata ($10.95), Sisig ($10.95) and Chicaron ($5.50). Enjoyed the spread! Wished the Sisig was the crispy kind. Crispy Pata is a one-person portion. 2. My Mom's Bakeshop (2434 W Temple St, Los Angeles) - We wanted to get something sweet after so we went to My Mom's Bakeshop that makes homemade Filipino pastries and desserts. We didn't know they don't have seating so we did takeout instead of Sans Rival, Ensaymada and Bibingka Cupcake. We were going to head to Dollar Hits right next door but found out they opened much later so we decided to look for a cafe to enjoy coffee with the pastries/desserts while waiting. 3. Sharp Specialty Coffee (3421 W 6th St, Los Angeles) - We headed to Koreatown which is adjacent to Historic Filipinotown and headed to Sharp Specialty Coffee after finding high reviews in Yelp. I got the Spanish Latte which is a seasonal drink and it was delicious! I like the minimalist space with lots of seating. 4. Dollar Hits (2422 W Temple St, Los Angeles) - Our first dinner is Dollar Hits since they finally opened for dinner. It's a unique and fun concept where you have a community charcoal barbecue area outside. And you go inside to buy your skewers (but they also sell other dishes as well as desserts). Each skewer is $1! (which is why it's called Dollar Hits). They have all sorts of skewers (see the selection in the video). They also have the more adventurous skewers like intestines, heart and ears. 5. Paradise Dynasty (South Coast Plaza, 3333 Bristol St, Suite A, Costa Mesa) - We weren't full yet so we decided to check out one of the newest restaurants in Costa Mesa, Paradise Dynasty, located in South Coast Plaza. Paradise Dynasty is a Chinese restaurant from Singapore that specializes in soup dumplings (xiao long baos). They have all sorts of flavours and different colors. We tried all the flavours except the original one. Check out my top picks in the video. Prices of xiao long baos range from $7.50-$14.80 for 6 pcs. Hope this food tour helps you decide where to eat in Los Angeles and Costa Mesa! There's so many yummy places to eat in both Los Angeles and Orange Countries!
