In this video I open with beautiful photos taken by MLiz Photos of this morning's action regarding the female intruder, E26 and M15. Liz updates: "What A Day!!! Cold morning - E26 and M15 at the nest tree, while E26 continue to explore, M15 watch. M15 vocals once in a while alerting that the Female is around. E26 milestone went to the pond also grab something from there and took off with it. E26 continue to explore flying around learning to maneuver from birds that are dive bombing while flying even an Osprey too. But today as I was trying to leave I was in my car I saw E26 flying then heard the female vocal, E26 was perch and the Female knocked E26 and chase E26 causing E26 to take the ground to west pasture trying to get away from her and the female landed at the snag tree by the pond and she take off as she sees M15 flying like a bullet and chase her both flew around by the church area and looking the road almost both try to go down to the road to get the road kill. I walk faster to where they were trying to land with all the traffic the female flew away across the road and M15 to the pine tree by the church watching for an opportunity to grab that and I look and grab my gloves and remove it safely away from it and M15 was watching, roadkill safer area and M15 grab and go. E26 flew to another tree then to the tree where the GHO nest was before. Lot of learning for E26 preparing for the journey into the wild." Thank you Liz for your additional commentary on the action today. From the cams, we see E26 fly from the nest to the inner limb and to the pond oak. Seconds after E26 landed, the intruder came from behind and knocked E26 off the pond oak (she had her talons extended and this was intentional). E26 flew off as the Intruder chased and then out of our cam view. E26 is okay!! M15 was right on her tail and gave chase at least three times. He lands on the DSPS and then to the Treetop perch. He sees the intruder again so he flies off and chases her (we see them both flying) M15 returned to the Treetop. Then he flew off seconds later and chased her again. Apparently there was roadkill in the road and the intruder wanted it. M15 wanted her to leave his territory! Thanks to our lovely ground crew MLiz she picked up the roadkill and threw it into the pasture. M15 watched her every move and he swooped down and got it right away and he took it to the DSPS to eat. He then flew to the pond for sips and to the office oak to perch. Many thanks to Liz for removing the roadkill and potentially saving M15's life and the intruder as well. Thank you for watching!
