The Percy Ray cigar is a limited edition cigar from Cubanacan Cigars that is an annual release and will be shipped to retailers on December 14th, 2015. The cigar is a tribute to Nate McIntyre's grandfather, Percy Ray McIntyre. Nate wanted to created a "good cigar for good people" to honor him. Percy Ray McIntyre is now 87 years old. His knuckles are black from decades of long, hard work. He would tell you himself that he has not a regret in the world. I’ve worked my butt off in this industry for a very long time, and that work ethic and my values are all fruits of my grandfathers example. He is the best man I’ve ever known, and I plan on making good cigars for good people in his honor. There is still much to be done, and I thank all of my dear friends and family I have met on the road. Without each of you, none of this would be possible. The cigar is limited to 800 cigars released in 10 count boxes and retails for $9.00. Wrapper: Dark Cameroon Binder: Jalapa Nicaragua Filler: Jalapa and Esteli, Nicaragua Size: Toro 6 x 50 MSRP: $9.00 The cigar had a leathery looking, oily wrapper with a closed food. The draw was spot on and the light up was easy. The cigar had notes of black pepper, leather, coffee, earth, mocha and slight sweetness with a full body. The spice note was definitely the main note of this cigar which is something I usually don't care for in my cigars, but it was accompanied by the other notes so well that the total flavor profile was just rich and flavorful. I really enjoyed this cigar and, if you like full bodied cigars, you will definitely like this cigar. If you like La Flor Dominicana, Tatuaje or the Oliva Serie V, then this would be a great cigar for you to try. Check it out before they are all gone because you will regret it if you don't.
