It was a glorious late summer day and 14 games of 5x8 ball overs an innings were played by 8 league representative teams from across the county. The Surrey Championship put in a team, organised by Neil Baker of Banstead, captained by James Allen of Sanderstead, and included players from Banstead, Beddington, Dulwich, Guildford and Malden Wanderers. The games were fast and furious with sixes galore being hit all day and the par score being around 16 an over! Sanderstead CC TV were there to capture 5 games from the day, including all the Surrey Championship group games and the resulting play-off.
