The life-saving operation was performed on a 12-year-old boy, a resident of Gaza, who suffered from a birth defect that caused severe heart failure that endangered his life, therefore he was not a candidate for surgical valve replacement. The operation was carried out by a multidisciplinary team from the Cardiology Department at Safra Children's Hospital and was also made possible thanks to the "Shevet Achim" association. The child breathed on his own at the end of the operation and returned to walking in the ward the next day. His general and cardiac condition immediately improved, and he is a candidate for release to his home and finally began to smile."
