Join us on our trek through Akshayuk Pass in Nunavut's Auyuittuq National Park, on Baffin Island, with the most breathtaking landscapes in the Canadian Arctic. Untouched by man, the pass is 95km long, with cliffs rising thousands of meters from the valley floor. There is only the bare minimum of park infrastructure in the form of emergency shelters scattered along the way. Glaciers feed the valley with fast-flowing, pristine water. This is a serious remote expedition, with no marked trails, no cell service, and no room for mistakes. From dangerous water crossings to the risk of injury with slim chance of rescue, this is a journey that demands proper planning, total self reliance, and respect for the land.
