Pyrenees - Alta Ruta de Los Perdidos (Part 1) - The Greatest View

Between May 28th and June 7th, we hike a part of the the Alta Ruta de los Perdidos (High Route of The Lost Ones) between Spanish and French Pyrenees. Due to the snow, which was still in large quantities, we had to shorten the route, and were only able to cover half of the trail. This route crosses two great legends of stone in the central Pyrenees, Monte Perdido and Vignemale. Trekking between the 9 refuges, of the two National Parks, quite demanding, high mountain, in which previous experience is recommended. In fact, if the route is covered in snow, only experienced mountaineers should do it, always using crampons and ice axes. The route goes through areas that are highly dangerous for unprepared people. In summer, without snow, although physically demanding, the route does not present a high level of technical difficulty. This is the Part 1. Devido à neve, que ainda existia em grande quantidade, tivemos de encurtar o percurso e só conseguimos percorrer metade do trilho. Esta rota atravessa duas grandes lendas da pedra nos Pirenéus centrais, o Monte Perdido e o Vignemale. O Trekking entre os 9 refúgios, dos dois Parques Nacionais, é bastante exigente, de alta montanha, no qual se recomenda experiência prévia. Na verdade, se o percurso estiver coberto de neve, apenas os montanhistas experientes o deverão tentar, utilizando sempre crampons e machados de gelo. O percurso passa por zonas de elevado perigo para pessoas inexprientes. No verão, sem neve, embora fisicamente exigente, o percurso não apresenta um elevado nível de dificuldade técnica.
