Canada House 1975 - Canada House documentary In 1975, two young sisters from Montreal, Canada, Anna and (Eloise) Dolly Charet run an orphanage, "Canada House" in the capital Cambodia, Phnom-Penh, a city besieged by the troops of the Khmer Rouge led by Pol pot, a military that is spreading terror among the population. Faced with this threat and risk their lives, the sisters, after many twists and turns, managed to flee with the 55 orphans in Cambodia to Saigon (South Vietnam), then to Canada, where they will be legally adopted. 35 years later, one of these children, Kim Routhier-Fillion (Manna Phat San, born on January 6th, 1975 in Phnom Penh) decides to find the two sisters who saved his life. He will convince them to return to Cambodia to remember both of these events and also to discover the country and culture where he is from. This is the subject of our documentary. M. En 1975, deux québécoises de Montréal, jeunes soeurs Anne et (Éloïse) Dolly Charet dirigent alors un orphelinat, "Canada House" dans la capitale Phnom-Penh au Cambodge, une ville assiégée par les troupes des Khmers Rouge dirigés par Pol Pot, une force armée qui sème la terreur parmi la population. Face à cette menace et au péril de leur vie, les deux soeurs, après de maints rebondissements, réussissent à fuir avec les 41 orphelins cambodgiens vers Saigon (Sud-Vietnam), puis au Canada où ils seront légalement adoptés. 35 ans plus tard, un de ces enfants, Kim Routhier Fillion (Manna Phat San, né le 6 Janvier 1975 à Phnom-Penh) décide de retrouver les deux québécoises qui lui ont sauvé la vie. Il va les convaincre de retourner au Cambodge pour à la fois se rappeler de ces événements et aussi de découvrir le pays et la culture d'où il vient. C'est l'objet de notre documentaire.
