Ebaar Uthechhey Mahajar | Year 4 Pupils from Manorfield Primary School with Khiyo recorded at SOAS

In July 2022, Sohini Alam and Olly Weeks, who make up the band Khiyo, visited Manorfield Primary School in Tower Hamlets, and taught the Year 4 students there, along with their teacher Kathryn Levell, this song in the Bangla language (also known as Bengali, the language of Bangladesh and the Indian state of West Bengal). A couple of weeks later, they came to SOAS University of London to record the song in Rotunda Studios in the Brunei Gallery, with sound engineer Jake Reynolds. Khiyo then arranged and recorded the guitar and drum parts and mixed and mastered the track while Greta Westwood edited the video. This video is the result of that project!
