In Week 4 of Ironmen Winter 2026, we dive into a powerful and challenging topic: relational drift. Relational drift happens when we stop intentionally pursuing the people closest to us. When relationships are placed on autopilot, they naturally begin to move toward selfishness, distance, and isolation. Left unattended, even our most important connections can become shallow, strained, or broken. Jesus calls us to something deeper: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.” – Luke 9:23 This week’s discussion invites us to examine where we may be drifting in our marriages, families, friendships, and community—and what it looks like to pursue others with effort, vulnerability, and sacrifice. Key Questions- Where have you allowed a relationship to drift onto autopilot? Which struggle shows up most often: abdication, hiding, justification, or blaming? Who might be waiting for you to take the first step toward reconnection? We are reminded of the call in Scripture: “Flee the evil desires of youth and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace…” – 2 Timothy 2:2 Memory Verse Proverbs 3:7–8 “Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones.”
