Following Prime Minister Modi's conversation with Iranian President Pezeshkian, the Indian vessel—the VLGC Shivalik*—has safely departed the Strait of Hormuz after loading LPG. Furthermore, Iran has granted permission for safe passage to two additional LPG tankers. The VLGC *Shivalik*—a massive Indian gas tanker that had been stranded in the Strait of Hormuz for several days—is carrying a cargo of over 40,000 metric tons of LPG. This shipment is crucial for alleviating the gas shortage currently facing India. The Indian Navy is executing this operation under its direct supervision; following diplomatic engagements with Iran, a naval warship is now providing security cover to the tanker. In a region teetering on the brink of war, the safe passage of a vessel flying the Indian tricolor is being hailed as a major diplomatic triumph for India.
