This is a technical demonstration of the vintage Wega 301CR cassette deck (the German equivalent of the legendary Sony TC-K6x series). The purpose of this video is to showcase the performance of the BSL Direct Drive motor and the S&F (Sendust & Ferrite) heads. I’m testing how different NOS (New Old Stock) tapes - specifically TDK AR, Maxell XL I, XL II and budget Fuji DR-Ix - handle various music genres when played through a modern Edifier R2750DB active DSP system.
