Welcome back to Bountiful Gardens! In this video, Joe and the team will be covering three more beautiful plants for your garden: Montauk Daisies, Bergenia & Camellia! These plants feature unique blooms, and tend to flower at rather unorthodox times of the year. Once you're through this deep dive, you'll be ready find the perfect spot for these plants in your garden. Montauk Daisies are classic white flowers that got their name from Montauk NY, where they were naturalized (though they're native to Asia). They have succulent-like foliage that stores water, helping them thrive through droughts. They bloom in late summer through the Fall and attract a ton of late season pollinators. Bergenia is an amazing perennial with lush, waxy foliage that helped it get its common name, Pigsqueak! When rubbed together, the leaves make a fun squeaking sound. These plants thrive in a variety of lighting conditions and like rich, well draining soil. Their foliage is super attractive, and the plant is evergreen, so you can enjoy it through the winter too! Camellia is a beautiful flowering evergreen shrub that can reach between 6-20 feet in height. They feature flowers ranging from pink and red to white and purple, and the flower petals are delicious. This plant is actually "the" tea plant, and has been cultivated for thousands of years and used to make white, green, black and oolong teas. Here's a timestamp breakdown for you: Montauk Daisies - 0:38 Berengia - 2:32 Camellia - 4:31 There's no better time than RIGHT NOW to come manifest your perfect dream garden!!
