Construction is picking up speed at our spot in Breckenridge, CO! Lozano Concrete is back on site pouring the garage floor, while Garrett from Backcountry Mechanical ties in the radiant heat tubing below. Rocky Mountain Cabinets delivered our kitchen cabinets, and the first pieces are starting to find their place. Inside, the drywall team is busy mudding and taping every wall and ceiling—stilts and all (still looks sketchy every time 😅). Outside, Justin from Summit Digs is in the excavator extending the gas line to the property and shaping the new boulder retaining wall that’s beginning to define the landscape. Manny and the framing crew wrapped up the TimberTech deck boards, and a temporary ramp now leads from the driveway up to the deck—probably not OSHA-approved, but we’ve been using it anyway. The garage doors are in (complete with windows), and the soffit looks fantastic. Over at the ADU, windows and the front door are installed, the siding is going up fast, and electricians are pulling wire throughout. Garrett even makes another appearance—with his dog sprinting up the makeshift deck ramp. The walls are fully mudded, the shared bath and main shower are prepped for tile, and the mechanical room is taking shape. Dad even makes a quick appearance in the ADU mechanical room pulling and terminating low-voltage Cat 6 and coax lines. By the end of the video, snow is melting after a long winter, the site is full of activity, and it finally feels like we’re closing in on the home stretch. 👉 Coming up next: cabinets going in, tile work starting, and the first look at paint inside both homes as we move closer to the finish line!
