Watch artist-instructor Peter Muller demonstrate for their flameworking class at The Studio. Muller's class will explore the art of flameworking in this hands-on, fun-filled class designed for students looking to hone their skills and experiment. Peter Muller grew up in western Massachusetts where he began studying soft glass techniques in 1999. For several years he worked with various artists honing his skills on diverse projects. Eventually, he developed solo work under the name “Afternoon Glass Designs” and now his business is “Muller Glass.” In 2012, Muller transitioned from furnace to flamework. In his southern Vermont home studio, he now produces primarily functional pieces. Muller revels in further education and experience, frequently collaborating with talented pipe artists all over the world. He enjoys creating narratives for his work and blurring the lines between function and art. Muller’s work is now in private collections in the United States and internationally.
