The first big swell of the winter was predicted so I didn’t pack a log in the van for about the first time ever! Turns out the swell didn’t eventuate, but there were some clean waves at Rincon. I jumped on one of Bea Conroy’s logs, and linked up with my old friend Shyama Buttonshaw (pretty good company to have down there). A really fun morning session, albeit 2 degree air temp and a fierce morning sun, glaring into your vision as you make your way down the reef. Tricky!
