Most Swiss Army Knives will make you choose between a Corkscrew and a Phillips, but this has both, and the in-line rather than T-Handle Phillips. This is a knife for those who don’t care about scissors, a saw, or a file, because it has most of the other tools except these. It is really a totally different knife than the Spartan, as the extra thickness makes it a lot less pocket-friendly. This knife is mainly about screwdrivers, it has four of them. Having the small light on the knife means you can’t keep the light pointed at something when using most of the other tools. However, it does mean one less thing dangling on your keychain. I’ve found that you usually end up using the light at times where you’re not using the other tools anyway. I think Victorinox should have made the light easily detachable, to give you the best of both worlds. The smaller blade should also be replaced with the little blade from the Electrician or Pruner, that would make this a lot better for tinkering/technician work. Still, for a moderate price, this model does give you a very useful set of tools in a lightweight package, so it is worth the price, but not necessarily a “must have” for most people.
